Leadership Team

Campaign Captains
June-November
Campaign captains contact a targeted list of voters in whatever way works best for them, including phone, text, personal visits, or handwritten letters or postcards.
Skills Needed:
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people and forge connections based upon shared interests and concerns.
- Great organizational and data skills
- Willing to attend training and remain in contact with campaign staff.
House Party Host
June-August
House parties are gatherings of Ron’s supporters and potential voters. These events give participants an opportunity to get to know Ron and his platform and ask questions in a more informal setting.
Skills Needed:
- A strong commitment to helping Ron’s campaign succeed.
- Willingness to open your home and your connections to expand the number of Itnyre voters.
- A group of friends who want to hear more about Ron’s campaign and platform.
Event Volunteer
Now-November
Event volunteers represent Ron’s campaign at community events (county fairs, street fairs, etc.). This is often in partnership with the local Democratic Party.
Skills Needed:
- Friendly and outgoing personality.
- Comfortable and confident enough to talk to a variety of people.
- Ability to handle uncomfortable or difficult conversations.
- Willing to work up to three-hour shifts.
Social Media Ambassador
Now-November
Ambassadors keep an eye on Ron Itnyre’s social media accounts, sharing posts from the official social media account and information about current events and the campaign.
Skills Needed:
- Excellent social media skills and an active network.
- Ability to monitor campaign communication and follow recommended posting schedules.
- Critical thinking and the knowledge to avoid misleading or inaccurate material.
- Even-tempered and the strength to “go high” when others “go low.”
Door to Door Canvassing
August-November
Canvassers go door-to-door providing voters with information about Ron’s candidacy and platform and encouraging citizens to vote.
Skills Needed:
- Ability to lead conversations with a variety of people and forge connections based upon shared interests and concerns.
- Excellent active listening and communication skills.
- Ability to think on your feet and handle uncomfortable situations.
- Willing to work two-hour shifts and attend training.
Phone and Text Banking
August-November
During phone or text banking, you call a targeted list of voters to talk about Ron’s candidacy and platform and encourage citizens to vote.
Skills Needed:
- Empathy and the ability to create a personal connection with voters.
- Excellent active listening skills.
- Comfortable and confident enough to talk to a variety of people.
- Ability to handle uncomfortable or difficult conversations.
- Willing to work two-hour shifts and attend training.
Election Day Volunteer
November 8
Election Day volunteers may make last-minute calls, provide transportation for voters, work to get out the vote, or canvass at polling locations.
Skills Needed:
- Flexibility and openness to helping wherever you can.
- A strong commitment to securing Ron’s success.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Availability between 6 am and 6 pm on Tuesday, November 8th.
